No New Mines Near the Grand Canyon

Thanks to the efforts of NPCA supporters and allies, a 20-year ban on new uranium mines will protect more than one million acres of public lands surrounding Grand Canyon National Park. You can thank Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar for making this important decision to defend this iconic park.
A Victory to Clean Up Haze

This year, the EPA is set to issue enforceable plans that will curb haze-causing pollution from some of the nation’s biggest and oldest coal-fired power plants. That means 2012 could be a critical year to help air quality in parks around the country, from Acadia to Joshua Tree—and many places in between.
